About the Race
The 6TH Annual Granger Paths 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Family Run/Walk is a benefit to raise funds for the FIRST PHASE of the path system from Mary Frank and Northpoint schools to the Library!
Construction is due to begin in 2012.
COME OUT AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE PROJECT AND YOUR COMMUNITY
There will be great door prizes, neighbors to meet, and good music. Multiuse paths will allow you and your family to safely walk, run, and bike throughout your community. They will connect public facilities such as schools, the library, ball fields, and shopping areas to allow for a more intimate connection between neighborhoods and raise property values!
The course for the competitive 5K Run will begin and finish at the Harris Township Library. A flat and fast course throught the streets of Granger, it is an MRA Circuit Race. Click on the button for the 5K course layout.
The 1 MILE FAMILY FUN Run/Walk will take place along the path on Elm Road from the Library to Adams Road and back.
Registration
5K Race Run/Walk
$20.00 (shirt included) per participant if pre-registered by May 15, 2011 (RFID tag timing)*
$15.00 (no shirt option) per participant if pre-registered by May 15, 2011 (RFID tag timing)*
$25.00 per participant for registration May 16th, 2011 or later (RFID tag timing)*
*Tags will be collected at the finish line. Participants will be charged a $20.00 replacement fee for any lost or non-returned timing tags
1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk
$5.00 per participant or $10.00 per family (no limit on family members) There is no late fee for this event. You can pre-registered (recommended) by mail, on line or register the day of the race. This is a non-timed event. A registration form must be completed for each participant. (shirt not included)
More than 500 people comprised of corporate sponsors, employees and their families, civic and community organizations, individual supporters, staff and volunteers. If you are a competitive runner or just out for exercise and enjoyment, this is the race for you!
Timing
Race Results will be provided by Rock Solid Results with RFID tag timing for 5K Competitive Runners only. No official results will be available for the 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk, however a display clock will be at the finish. Times will be posted on our website during the week after the race.
