Dear Friends,

 

It’s that time of year again! The Friends of Granger Paths is planning its 18th annual 5K and Family Fun Run. We’ve selected the date: Saturday, May 2, 2026. Now we need sponsors. That’s where you come in.

 

For over twenty years, the Friends of Granger Paths, Inc. has been working to connect Granger with a system of multi-use paths. The paths we’ve already built, including the extensive Adams Road Pathway and our most recent project (2024) connecting the Fountain Blue neighborhood with Northpoint Elementary School, help kids get to school safely, provide trails for runners, walkers, and cyclists, and connect us with local shops, businesses. and restaurants, making Granger a great place to live, work, and raise families.

 

We are asking for your help to continue that momentum as we start the most ambitious project we’ve undertaken since the initial paths were built along Adams Road twenty years ago. Our goal is to build a new trail to the new Anderson Trail County Park, providing safe multi-use access for our community. This is an exciting project that will require securing matching grants from state, federal, municipal entities and non-profit organizations and local businesses. We have already begun applying for some funds for the initial stages of this project, but we need the continued support of our community in order to make this expansion of our Granger trails network a reality.

 

Your sponsorship of the race is crucial for the expansion of our paths. We anticipate about 400 participants, alongside their family and friends who come to support them. We are including a Sponsorship sheet detailing the advantages your business can obtain by participating in this significant community event. The first three Platinum level sponsors will receive a certificate from Knollwood Country Club for up to four golfers for 18 holes that includes green fees and use of a golf cart. To be featured in our print media and on our race shirts for all participants, please confirm your sponsorship by the specified deadline.

 

The Friends of Granger Paths, Inc. is a dedicated, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization championing the development of paths in the Granger area. We accomplish this through advocacy and fundraising to secure matching grants. We have collaborated with MACOG (Michiana Area Council of Government) along with local and county officials, to integrate Granger Paths into the comprehensive 20-year county plan. These pathways do more than connect neighborhoods to significant local spots; they foster a stronger, more unified community.
